Meat Beer Fire

Revival Foods and The Charleston Beer Exchange present:

The 1st Annual MEAT BEER FIRE is a festive event showcasing Heritage meat, amazing craft beer, outdoor cooking artistry, and roots music. The event’s proceeds benefit the American Livestock Breed Conservancy.

The MEAT is by LJ Woods Farm and includes Pineywoods Rose Veal, Gulf Coast Native Lamb, Spanish Goat, and Ossabaw Island Pork. These native Southern breeds are endangered and have a unique and delicious flavor.

The BEER is craft brewed for the event by Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø of EvilTwin Brewing. Jeppe was recently voted one of the Top 10 Brewers in the World by ratebeer.com! Two unique kegs of beer were brewed specifically for this event. EvilTwin FIRE is a pale ale base brewed with fresh sliced jalapeños. EvilTwin MEAT is an Imperial stout brewed with Pineywoods beef jerky. Other featured beers will include Plastic Man, Even More Jesus, and Hipster in cans.

The FIRE will be mastered by Craig Deihl of Cypress Restaurant. Craig is a three-time James Beard Nominee, cookbook author, and founder of the Artisan Meat Share – a CSA-like program for charcuterie prepared from locally raised meat. The MEAT will be prepared in a variety of ways employing outdoor cooking techniques such as open fire roasting, smoking, and grilling.

To round out the experience, you’ll enjoy the awesome bluegrass stylings of The Mosier Brothers Band!
